| Pschyotherapy
We offer psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families who are interested in personal development. Our predominant model is one based upon a transpersonal self-reflective practice, and underpinned by spiritual traditions that focus on awareness. Our model is also informed by Process Work, integrative and humanistic psychotherapy, and aims to help facilitate individual and collective approaches to change.
We believe that every individual, in moments, lose awareness and become one-sided and clouded in judgment. When this happens, the individual loses the ability to self-reflect and to connect with a more expanded part of him or herself. Over time, such an individual may lose an inner feeling of personal power and self-worth, and thereby get caught into negative feelings and thought patterns.
In order to deal with life difficulties, it is really helpful to develop a strong inner work practice, and the capacity to reflect upon oneself from a more expanded, sophisticated and aware part. This involves developing the internal ‘reflector’ or Observing Consciousness Guide, who can be reliably called on to guide and inform one’s path in life. Being able to reflect from a place of true self-reflection, as opposed to merely thinking, feeling or reacting, allows one to be in touch with a wiser guidance and sense of one’s life’s direction. When the wisdom from this Guide is explored further, it can lead to vital insights and energetic shifts.
We work with a wide range of presenting issues, including depression; chronic illness; behavioural problems; school based difficulties; trauma; abuse; bereavement; stress; life crisis; eating disorders; psychosomatic disorders; relationship issues and group dynamics. We provide personal growth work for professionals requiring hours in professional therapy as part of training.
